Enscape macbook pro. I have a question about virtualizing OS X on VMware vSphere ESXi running on a Mac Pro. We want to built a test lab for setup and testing of our images for new Mac deployment and software installs. This would include 2 client installs of OS X and one OS X server install. I have included a snippet from the license agreement in OS X. It does not directly seem to allow what we are wanting to do. Is there a way to license OS X in a manner that will allow what we want to achieve?

Please follow the below instructions to install the VMWare Horizon Client for Mac.

1. Download the VMWare Horizon Client installer For macOS 10.14 (Mojave), 10.15 (Catalina) and 11 (Big Sur) by clicking here. For macOS 10.13, you’ll need to download a different version from here.
  Mac OS versions older than 10.13 are not supported.
2. Double click on the VMware Horizon Client.dmg file to begin the install.
3. Click “Agree” in the user license agreement window that appears.
4. When the VMWare Horizon Client window appears, drag the “VMWare Horizon Client icon to the Applications folder.
5. The first time you launch the VMWare Horizon Client, you may see a security popup asking if you want to open the file. Click the “Open” button.
6. Follow these linked instructions to log in to VDI with 2-Step Verification (2SV).

VDI requires a modern laptop, PC, or tablet.
In general most laptops that are less than 4 years old will run the VDI client without an issue. More detailed laptop requirements can be found in our student guide.
