The Din Condensed font family is a clever design by Typodermic Fonts, designed by David Jonathan Ross in 2009. It’s developed from the original 1950’s era typeface DIN, which was created in the mid-20th century by the German Standards Institute for use in industrial settings.
DIN was designed to replace standard blackletter and roman typefaces that were difficult to read in the harsh conditions of such places as factories and warehouses. It was designed to be clear and simple, with very precise lines and high stroke contrast.
